Austin real estate news shows the volume of homes sold decreased across the Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) for the first time since May 2020, according to the Austin Board of REALTORS® July 2021 Central Texas Housing Report. The report states that “despite the dip, the five-county MSA was just 445 homes shy of breaking the all-time home sales record set in July 2020. “

Austin Real Estate News July 2021
Austin real estate news shows the June market volume of homes sold set records once again. According to the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) June and Midyear Central Texas Housing Market Report, 4,369 homes sold in June, a record for June, across the Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), an 8.6% increase year over year. The record-setting number of transactions for any June on record contributed to an increase of 16.5% to 19,991 home sales during the first half of 2021.

Want to Sell your Home? The Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University asked if I would write a blog article a couple of weeks ago directed to agents. The market has changed a lot in a very short time. As busy as I am, it has taken even me a minute to adjust, so it is hard to wrap my head around how hard it must be for new agents or even those less active than I. The article I wrote was about having a ‘show me the money’ meeting with buyers. Getting pre-approved for a loan doesn’t necessarily mean you have enough money to buy a home in Austin. Central Texas March Housing Market Madness
Central Texas March housing market data is out and the numbers certainly reflect the madness active participants have experienced first hand. The Austin real estate market continues to soar at a record pace. One thing to note here is that we essentially hit the pause button last year on March 13. Was I essential? Could I still show homes?
