Granada Estates was developed in the mid ’70s to late ’80s. Granada Hills is the first neighborhood on El Rey Boulevard, with Granada Estates directly behind it. Homes in both neighborhoods have a similar aesthetic, so they tend to transition seamlessly, although Granada Hills is a little older. Granada Oaks is the newest community behind Granada Estates, which started development in 2007

Granada Estates is located about 15 minutes from downtown, Austin and 20 minutes from the Hill Country Galleria Mall. Southwest Austin Schools
Granada Estates is located within the Austin Independent School District. The Waldorf School is also nearby. It is a private school serving students from Kindergarten through twelfth grade that seeks to encourage creative expression within an academic environment.
