About Westlake Hills
The city of Westlake Hills is an upscale suburb of Austin, located on the west side of Austin on the edge of the Hill Country. The city developed rapidly in the 1970s and 1980s with many luxury homes in the hills on the south side of the Colorado River.
There are many things about Westlake Hills that people are drawn to. Eanes ISD is consistently awarded exemplary statues, which helps keeps real estate valueable, because families are consistently drawn to living here.
In addition to schools, Westlake has a real community feel to it. There is plenty of shopping within the city, but maintains its rural aesthetics. The town covers 3.7 square miles, much of which is dedicated to parks and green space, most notably Wild Basin Wilderness Park, a stretch of rolling hills and forests in the city’s northwest corner.

Location
Westlake is located west of Austin approximately between 3300 Bee Cave Road and east of Loop 360 on Bee Cave.
Home Styles
Lot sizes are generally larger in Westlake, and larger lots allow for bigger houses. From estate sized homes, to standard sized homes with large yards, you will find a bit of variety here from the traditional styles of the 60’s, to ultra modern contemporaries, to Mediterranean flare. The landscape allows for a bit of diversity here. The larger lots also add rural appeal, because homes are generally not close together.
Local Fun
For those that like to dine out, there is a good mix of restaurants in Westlake. There are also plenty of recreational centers and boat access to the lake. As mentioned earlier, there is must green space preserved for hiking, and mountain biking.
